Hello,

I am struggling to find a module that has all of the below:

  • Lots of out of the box features to allow for most client scenarios without development
  • Ease of administration for non technical users
  • Ease of customisation & configuration including extending for things like payment gateways or controlling layout
  • Easily upgradeable after customised implementation
  • Relatively bug free.

After physically testing and using most of the currently available store modules and reviewing feature sets on the others I am yet to find one that meets all of the above. Some are close to having almost all of the above but fail in one or more of the critical areas.

Can anyone tell me if the new DotNetNuke Store is using a specific Store module and if so what module is it?

If it is a custom build any plans to release it to the core or as a purchasable module?

P.S. FWIW  to module owner please css class everything so at least we can css or jquery changes without the need to adjust user controls.

Cheers Ed

The website running at http://store.dotnetnuke.com uses custom modules, which at this time will are not available for public use. To be honest, they likely never will, but that could always change in the future.

If youre looking for a good store module, check out NBStore - http://nbstore.codeplex.com/

Its free, and its awesome. One of the best DNN Store modules out there.

Thanks Chris.

Thanks Ky i've been following NB for a while, its heading in the right direction but in my opinion needs to mature a little to be used in larger ecommerce sites, great for simple sites though.

Well, we can hope that it becomes available but won't hold our breath.
