I have a large number of files appearing in this folder, many of them very large - biggest 469,644 KB. The file name is of the form yyyy.mm.dd.log.resources

I have searched the DNN Wiki knowledge base and could only find details of something called Log4Net - but information suggests a maximum of 5 files and they have a maximum size of 10 MB - overall maximum 50MB. Certainly not the case for me.

Is it safe for me to delete these files - if so any restrictions on how?

Can I stop these files being created?

Have reviewed the log files being created.

They all have the same message repeated over and over again:

Have used Host/Settings/Other Settings to set the paramater Site Log History to zero - hopefully this might stop it logging things.

Using the hosting service control panel I have removed the all cache files - they were all older than today. It was the oldest that was causing the failure that was being written to the log - so if I only deleted that one I would probably have got errors with the next.

Also have deleted all the log files in Portals\_default\Logs - except for the current days log and a differently named log.

I hope I haven't screwed anything up, but I will check tomorrow if I am still getting log files created.

Well the log files are still being created. Content relates to access failure to new files in the Portals\0\Cache\Pages folder.

Have run out of ideas on how to solve this. Really do ne some expert advice to sort out the problems.

1 How do I stop the log files being created?

2 How do I fix the access rights problem that is causing the log entries?

Anyone?
