What are the pros and cons associated with using the DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider vs TelerickEditorProvider?

the telerikeditorprovider was a short-lived telerik editor implementation that was replaced by the better DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider - this new provider was based on the popular radeditor provider created by DNNWerk who kindly contributed it (and it's excellent html editor manager module) to the core. We converted it to c#, fixed a few (minor) issues and renamed it approriately. It will be the supported provider going forward with all bugfixes/enhancements, whereas telerikeditorprovider is now effectively obsolete.

Thank you Cathal for the detail response - I now know I am good to go with DNN 6.1.4 with the delivered editor.

One question: where will I find documentation so that I can add custom classes to the DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider in a manner so that they will not be overridden when I upgrade? I found documentation on the DNN wiki that talked about customizing the telerik Editor provider - but not the RadEditor.

Thanks,
Judy

Judy, there is some documentation on http://radeditor.codeplex.com/ (original location of the provider)
