I running 4.3.1 (also tried on 4.3.0) and no matter what I try I can't create a new child portal. I just get a red "error creating portal error".

Please HELP DNN, this is what I'd call, um, URGENT!

Me too - can't create a child portal on 4.3.1 after upgrading from 4.0.3 - It's URGENT on my end too.

Fixed it

I did the SQLDataProvider trick earlier in this thread (which didn't help), and then modified the AspNetSqlMembershipProvider so that applicationName= "/"

Bingo!

Dang - now no-one can log in. I changed the application name back and login works again.

I am also lost... upgraded from 4.0.3 to 4.3.1 and get the same error when trying to create a child portal. Using IIS6 and SQL2000.

So how do you run the SQLDataProvider trick? Thanks...
