Dear Sebaitian,

Could you please be more specific as to which file need to be modified because every time I created a project using Chris template, the project won't even load in the Visual Studio 2010 and all I get is this error message:

"The Web Application Project DNNExplained is configured to use IIS. The Web server 'http://dnndev/DesktopModules/DNNExplained' could not be found"

Regards,
Roy

Roy,
You shouldn't be getting that message about a virtual directory, you don't need/want the folder to be a virtual directory as that will just cause problems. The question is, why is that happening on your install. That one I am not sure of the answer to.

That's what's troubled me.

I've followed everything on setup the development environment for DotNetNuke as listed here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W... and I can even run the DotNetNuke without any problem from http://dnndev/ and yet I'm still getting this error.

This really frustrates me.

Edit the .csproj-file in your favorite text-editor and change this:

<UseIIS>True</UseIIS>

To this:

<UseIIS>False</UseIIS>

In case that setting isn't in your .csproj-file, change it in your .csproj.user-file. If you have both files, and the setting is in both files as well, change it in both files (for the sake of 'better safe than sorry').

That should allow you to at least open the project in VS2010, and finetune those settings in there :)
