I agree, there are situations, where you need different solutions as a workaround. However you need to make sure, target db is using proper Collation (Latin CI AS) and compatibility level (90 or above).

Well so far ive contacted the hosting provider (unoeuro.com) and asked them if they can move my db to a 2008 MSSQL server as that shd solve the problem (other websites including my own are DNN based and running in their environment with no problems....but on version 2008 MSSQL).

Case is that its a production site im setting up for a customer, so i really dont have a lot of time to fiddle around with this. :-(

Googling though isnt producing too many results, ive been trying to find something about deploying DNN up against MSSQL 2012, but no luck. :-/

please be aware that SQL Server 2012 has been released just a few days ago - so live experiences are limited atm.

Yeh im aware of that, unoeuro had it up and ruinning by march 9th. :-)

But still i always google thoroughly regardless of what i expect to find or not, because sometimes u do get quite surprised with the results.

For what i know, some geek out there couldve tried running DNN on the new SQL version just for the heck of it and maybe even geeked up a solution. :-D
