Hello fellow nukers,

Looking for some input on the events module.  I've used the module many times and it has been a great solution for robust sites.  However, I'm in a situation where I need to find a way to allow any visitor the ability to post an event for review, then approval by admin to automatically post to the calendar as an event. I realize this question has been posed a few times here already, and I'm aware that it cannot be done without altering the user roles to allow ability to post event.  This might end up having to be the solution, but I would like to try and do something a bit more elegant or simple such as a page with a form on it and they fill it out and submit it.  Does anyone have a solution for this, or an example done already?  Any input on how to go about this and writing a custom form to accomplish the visitor to complete the form, submit it and then have an admin review and post if appropriate?  What about the ability to just take the add event form already in the event module and posting it to a site for someone to complete.  would that work?  has anyone done something like this and conquered it?  If so I would love to see it and how you did it if possible?

Lastly, I'm brand new to the world of API's and working with them on dnn and specifically the events module.  We are wanting to use an api to share information on other calendars in the community.  I thought rss or export/import would be sufficient but was told it needed to be an api.  can anyone point me in the right direction to teach myself how to build and implement an api for the events module, or if there is one that I can use and tweak for our needs?
