hello,

we have a dnn portal (www.mysite.com) and when somebody types this url in their browser, they see our home page, and the browser displays this as url "www.mysite.com".

When the visitor navigates the site and comes back to our home page (let's say by pressing the logo) the browser displays this as url "www.mysite.com/home.aspx".

Is there a way to make the browser display only the site's url (www.mysite.com) when the visitor goes to our home page, like when they first enter the site?

thank you

That's the expected behavior for the logo skin object. It creates a link to the page setup as "home page" in your portal settings. In this case, that page is named "home".

You can get around it two ways:

1. Modify the skin.ascx file to use the logo and a hard coded link to your top level domain instead of the logo object.

2. Install something that can get around it. I know the iFinity module has an option for sending back to the TDL on home in their paid version of URLMaster, but I'm not sure if they have that feature in their free version.

Others may have additional workarounds.
