Hi,

I am still putting forward a case for using DotNetNuke for one of our sites and I wondered if you buy the professional edition how people have gone about the different environments such as dev and uat for testing before live ?

Does the Professional edition come with developer licenses or would I have to buy a license for each version of DNN I have.

Thanks

JHF

you may easily use Community Edition for development (and production) purposes, if you don't need the professional extensions.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply,

So as long as I don't need any of the Professional extensions I am fine to use any number of instances of the Community Edition but if we need to use any of the extensions for Professional we would need to buy a license for each of the servers, prod, uat, test and dev.

Is that correct?

Regards

Jacqui.

generally you are correct, you need a licence for each server for Pro and Enterprise Editions. However, there might be a development license for localhost included, please contact sales@dnncorp.com for details.
