My upgrade to 6.1.5 ran smoothly on both my staging and production servers.  the staging worked perfectly, but production gave me an error 'too many redirects'.  Checking out the two sites I realised that staging was running ASP.NET 4.0 Classic and production ASP:NET 4.0 Integrated.  With no real idea what I was doing I changed my server settings to ASP.NET 4.0 Classic  ( host with arvixe using cp).

This appeared to resolve the problem and after some further testing, the users got on to the site and used it successful for a day.  Just a few hours ago there were some unrelated issues on the server and IIS was restarted.  Now my login screen is not displaying.  I've created a new page and tried to add the login module and get the following error:-

A serach on google for CS0433   gives me the impression that there is some sort of circular depency going on but I'm well out of my depth.

Can somebody throw me a line here?

Hi,

Stop the AppPool corresponding to your website, then delete the folder c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\acc8837d\129fdae4 and restart your AppPool.
