Thanks Cathal - appending the PortalID works in this instance where I am running V5.6.7.

However in my other portal environments where I am running either V4.9.4 or V5.5.1, I get a nasty exception like this:

not sure what the issue is - Im afraid that youre going to have to debug the code to find out why - there is no change in this logic from 4.x-5.x so I really have no idea why it works on one but not the other. You could try using a tabid for a portal page that has anonymous user access in case that's part of the problem.
