A critical error has occurred.
Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

I get that after the upgrade -- when clicking on manage profiles.

I'm wondering if I can just disable profiles? The site I'm working on now is a shopping site where that's not useful there.

From what I remember, this has something to do with being logged in as host - there is no portal ID. I remember seeing this in the beta. I may be wrong on that, tho. If you notice any different responses between admin and host access, let us know. Also, check the issue tracker to see if something's been submitted. If not, add it; if so, comment on your situation. This should give us a better idea of what the problem is and the scope of the issue, if it's still valid. You may also want to try the x.3.1 release, which was uploaded today.

Note: All x.3.x releases are currently release candidates.

I also got this error,

I checked the "Users" Table in our SQL database for dotnetnuke and found that the FirstName, LastName and DisplaName information was blank for all users from ADS ie: mycompany\username.

After manually filling this information in the error went away and I was able to setup security roles and pages properly.
