Is it possible to have a separate login page on my website from the first page that appears on my web site when a user logs in?

More specifically, I want to have a page where a user will come to login. This page may just have an HTML module with an explanation of how to login. Once they have logged in, I would like a different page to appear. How can I accomplish this?

you may place login module onto any page you like and specify this to be your login page in Admin > Site settings. In Admin > User Accounts > User Settings you may also specify page after login.
