what machine OS are you using?  It's odd that the NT user in the error message is spelled Netwerk Service. On W2K3 it is Network Service...

But for your issue, check that the new sql server has the user login created that is listed as the dbo in the db.  Other than that, I can't see the issue.  Make sure the server instance name is correctly referenced in the web.config as well.

its a dutch version of W2K3

Nothing has changed to the database or the dotnetnuke installation.

I just had to reinstall the SQLexpress version to the latest version and i reinstalled .net 2. As i wasnt sure if had a non beta installed.

After rebooting the dotnetnuke database isnt recognised anymore and the whole dotnetnuke installation is down :(

ill try to reinstall with a plain database to check if my installation will be ok.. If thats the case .. I surely could use some help to get all the info out of the old database... some of that is only avaible in that database.

Cheers

Dre

You didn't mention this so - did you recreate the DNN account for the SQL server logins, and then assign again to the DB for DNN with dbo permissions?

Thnx for your idea's on how to solve..

After searching the forums for the 3rd time ( the forums arent that search friendly )  i found a thread where a asp.net incompatibility  consists . older 1.2 and newer 2.0 versions.

I re-arranged my IIs so that they only are using 1.1 and it actually worked.

Migrating over to dnn 4.03 ( asp 2.0)  Will be a pain as i was using TTT authentication module. and that has been integrtated into Version 4 of dnn.

Thnx for the help

Cheers

Dre
