Can anyone help me with this problem of web deploying my DNN site:

Ok im using Enkompass cPanel, and created a remote db on server. The publish settings in webMatrix all work fine, and Validate Connection check passed.
However everytime i try to publish the local database (which is named siteSqlServer btw), it keeps giving me errors like this

----------------------------------------------------------ERROR MESSAGE----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4:50:57 PM: Unable to publish the database. For more information, see "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=205387"
4:50:57 PM: Unable to publish. Unable to publish the database. For more information, see "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=205387"
4:50:57 PM: Error detail:
4:50:57 PM: An error occurred during execution of the database script. The error occurred between the following lines of the script: "3742" and "3744". The verbose log might have more information about the error. The command started with the following:

4:50:57 PM:    at Microsoft.WebMatrix.Deployment.MsDeployWorker.Execute(Boolean pullback)
----------------------------------------------------------ERROR MESSAGE ENDS----------------------------------------------------------------------------

It says user has no permission to perform the CREATE action, i did go double check to make sure that i created a user for the intended database
on server with the required permission (R&W). I also changed the settings on the local database such that any NETWORK SERVICES can edit the local database. i also actually use SQL Management Studio to check the server database and realize that nothing is copied there.

Sorry i am really new to DNN so any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

I haven't tried using the publish functionality in Webmatrix, but I wouldn't be surprised if you are running into a problem because the database is actually in USE locally, which means that it can't be accessed completely to be published?

Unfortunately I am not sure of a work around for this.

I run into this whenever I am backing up a DNN site running on SQL Express, if you try to copy the app_data folder you can't because the MDF and log files are in use. If you kill the website briefly you can then copy the database as the files are no longer in use.

Hey Chris thx for the prompt reply.

hmm i actually think that when i publish the database is not used locally because i usually kill the website first before i publish it.

You mention that you encounter similar problem when you do publishing with web Matrix, so did you manage to get your DNN site up? if so could you share with me how did you deploy the local database to the server db? Many thanks!
