thats your problem then - ive no idea how that could have happened (unless you're manually merging web.config during upgrade - the automatic xmlmege will do that automatically), as both the abstractions and routing lines are needed for the services framework - this explains why your services dont work

please locate the assemblies node in your web.config and replace it with the following values (back up the web.config file first please)

Thank you that worked. I added the abstraction code below, and after an hour of waiting for the site to come back up I can now access the Admin Settings again. Thank you Connolly.

Hello,

I had the same issue and your information helped me too. But then I installed DNN 7.0.0 and I had the same issue again. But this time your suggestions did not help.

Any idea how to solve the problem?

I had the same issue upgrading from DNN 05.06.08 - DNN 06.02.06.
Adding the following line to the section of the web.config corrected the problem.
