thats your problem then - ive no idea how that could have happened (unless you're manually merging web.config during upgrade - the automatic xmlmege will do that automatically), as both the abstractions and routing lines are needed for the services framework - this explains why your services dont work
please locate the assemblies node in your web.config and replace it with the following values (back up the web.config file first please)
