I have a few questions around the new Social Groups functionality:

How can you remove someone from a group that you created if you are not an admin?

If the group is private…how can you invite someone to it? If you are an admin you can add to the group role but I am asking how a regular user can do it.

Can you show under the user profile what groups the user is a member of?

If a user post on the group journal it doesn’t show on his profile journal – is there a setting to show those?

Thanks

Ivan;

All the functionality of our Social Features is here:

http://help.dotnetnuke.com/Default.as...

Just click on "Social Groups" and configuration and usage information is given for each area within Social Groups

I don't see anywhere an explanation on how you can manage group memberships...if I created the group how can I remove members from it?

Thanks

"group memberships" are controlled via "Security Roles"

When you create a Social Group it auto creates a Security Role Group which you can view Admin --> Security Roles.

You can make the Group "Public" or "Private"...  to make the Group private you would use the  "Subscription" feature available on the "Advanced Settings" tab within the "Security Role" edit pop.

With this feature set you can control access via invitation

To delete users you go to the page where your group resides.. click the Group Name

The "Group Activity" page renders and under "Console" at right you'll see Members click the linked text and you can manage the Group Members from the next screen.

You should also check out this video created by our Directory of Training, Chris Hammond. It has a wealth of info on how to add and configure a Social Group
