I get the following error when try to friend or follow members:
'An error occurred while processing the request. Please try again later.'

There's nothing under Event log..
When I get this error there's a yellow exclamation icon not a red one if that helps..

Everything else seems to be working fine on all of my sites..
Could this be a skin issue? I use Artisteer to make skins.

Thanks for your help,Rob

Hi Rob, is this a new DNN installation or an upgraded one?

please look at the requests with a http proxy such as fiddler, it will let you know what is happening during the service request. Also please check web.config and make sure the following 2 lines exist as without them service framework requests will fail (if they do not exist please add them to the bottom of the assemblies section - and also check your permissions as they are added automatically except where permissions are wrong (i.e. no modify permissions for the website user, or where the web.config file is set as read only)
    <add assembly="System.Web.Abstractions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" />
        <add assembly="System.Web.Routing, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" />
