Hi

I have search around and couldn't find thos. In testing DNN6.2 with all language packs installed, i notice that when i change language, the menu get's translated - except for any entries i may have added. How is this localization achieved? how can i localize my own entries accordingly?

thanks

for Home and a couple of default pages, localization is achieved using static localization, i.e. keys in globalResources.resx. Unfortunately, this cannot be used for custom or renamed pages. I suggest using Apollo PageLocalization (pagelocalization.codeplex.com) or DSLocalizator (dnn.tiendaboliviana.com), if you plan using multilingual modules for content localization.

So, basicly, what you mean is that those translations are hard-coded, and, therefore, pretty much useless - ok, thank you, will tell my client to look into a 3rd party option for localization

thanks

yep. Built-in solution exists only if using Language Specific Pages, where pages are created per language and module content should get synchronized between localized instances.
