Hi All,

I'm working on a skin and containers for our website and we're trying to figure out a way to program around our user's tenancy to add images that are too large for the content areas on the page. While it doesn't happen often, sometimes a user will put a 500px wide image into a sidebar that is 250 px wide, messing up their layout. We do trainings to try to prevent this but user levels vary widely and some just don't get it.

I tried to set the content panes to Overflow:hidden in the skin.css but that ended up cropping the action menu. Is there a good way to do this? Or, do I just need to police the site more?

 Thanks,

I think the best answer is some automated procedure that will resize an image combined with some extra policing.

You can add max-width/max-height to the css for images.

TBH that really only masks the problem the user still takes the hit on downloading an image that is too large and you get whatever the browser does to resize it.

Best wishes,
