I have followed the steps in the wiki for setting up a development environment and watched the video on module development. When creating a module in vs2010 I get an error that I do not have privileges to access the IIS metabase. I am running win 7 64bit on a macbook pro with IIS 7.5 using the DefaultAppPool for my website. Physical location of site is C:\websites\dnndev. DontNetNuke 6.2. Security settings for the dnndev folder have my login and DefaultAppPool set to Full. Any suggestions on what to look for to solve the issue.

typically this happens when vs.net tries to create or access IIS and cannot - this may be because you are not running vs.net in administration mode, but sometimes it can occur for other reasons - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5273044/visual-studio-cant-create-web-site-in-iis covers the common ones
