I created a user, then deleted the user (soft delete), then I went into the User Manager and "fully" deleted the user account.  But when I try to create a new account with the same "deleted" username, I get the following error:

A User Already Exists For the Username Specified. Please Register Again Using A Different Username.

I checked the USERS and ASPNET_USERS, but I don't see the old deleted user record anywhere. Why does it still claim the username is "in use"?

What version of DNN are using Ben? As far as I know this has been fixed since the early DNN 5 versions.

I'll have to try testing it myself to see what happens but a quick look at http://support.dotnetnuke.com didn't show anyone else having logged the same issue.

Is this a child portal or are there multiple portals per chance?

Nope, this is a single instance portal.

Which tables hold the user information that would trigger this message? Like I mentioned I did look in the tables [USERS] and [ASPNET_USERS] and wasn't able to find the "UserName"...but I have to assume that there must be another table somewhere else that is used to validate against when a new User Account is created.  One which the UserName in question still exists...would you happen to know which table that is?
