I am currently styling the DNN MegaMenu and want the menu items to be displayed in 'columns' rather than 'rows' similar to the menu used on DotNetNuke.com.

Is this actual menu layout available somewhere? or can someone tell me how to adapt the current MegaMenu to suit?

What I currently have:

What DotNetNuke.com has:

Crude cut n paste of what I want:

Notice on my current menu that large gaps are left under menu items that don't have further sub pages.  I would prefer the links to 'bunch' up and fill the gaps as with the DotNetNuke.com mmain menu.

I am a bit of a novice with DNN development so any advice appreciated.

Ryan.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but you can edit the css. Go to your skin folder and you should find a folder called "DNNMega". Inside the folder is dnnmega.css, as well as the .xslt file.

I'm a newbie, too so I feel your pain! :-)

Yeah I know of these files and have been playing about with them trying to get what I need, but cannot figure out what needs to be changed in the .XLST file to convert the layout from 'rows' to 'columns'.

The <li> go accross the menu rows until there are three columns and then a new row is started.  It is not obvious to me what logic is causing this in the template file so I am unable to change it.  I need the <li> to go down the menu and when a certain number of <li> has been hit for a new column (not row) to be created.
