For DNN 5, you may try using dnnwerk PageManagement from http://dnnpageadmin.codeplex.com/ (requires upgrade to 5.5.1 or later), which has been donated to DotNetNuke and is now included in DNN 6 core.

I would at least upgrade to latest DNN 5.6.x, you may try upgrade to 6.1.5 or 6.2.1 (should be available in a couple of days) from that version.

Cheers from Germany,

I'm not exactly sure how, but I am certain that it is somehow possible to orphan a pages children in 6.2 to the extent that it shows no children in Admin-->Page Management, when you restore it from recycle bin, it shows no children, yet it cannot be deleted from the recycle bin.

I suspect that I may have caused this by dragging / dropping a page hierarchy in page management but I'm not 100% certain that's what caused it.

What's more interesting is how can I clean this up at the database level. It's imperitive that I get rid of the page.

After looking in the tabs table I can confirm that dragging/ dropping a page that has children in 6.2 will orphan the children. Dragging it back will allow the children to show up again and subsequently be removed
