Hi.

Although I can't say I'm a wiz at installing/upgrading DNN, I have done a couple of successful upgrades before.

While working with some some modules for image display I noticed that folders and files that I had uploaded via FTP weren't being shown in the add files options of the modules (Ultra Media Gallery, Ultra Flash Player and Will Strohls lightbox gallery to name a few) I tried to sync files from both the admin and host  file manager pages, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

After checking the web for solutions I saw somewhere that the new release of DNN has fixed this.

Unfortunately, when i try to install the upgrade I get this error:

XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://www.floridaclubskenya.com/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade
Line Number 1, Column 1:

I had made a backup and reverted to it then reloaded the upgraded package and tried again. Still same message.

I can access the site no problems, but I just can't get either the file sync to work or the upgrade.

I'm currently on DNN 6.01.05 and trying to upgrade to 6.02.00

Anyone have any solutions for either problem?

ive never seen that and it makes little sense- is it the only text you see or are other messages written out first (e.g. "Current Assembly Version")?

@ Cathal Connolly - thanks for the reply. No, it's the only message I'm getting on the screen using Firefox, but when using chrome don't even get that - just a blank screen!

I would re-check all permissions and make sure the permissions inherit to all subfolders and files on your DNN root folder. Perhaps this is an issue about permissions.
