This is the latest version I have written on creating Feedback Categories.

  1. Navigate to the Host > Lists page.
  2. Click Add List.
  3. In the Entry Name field, enter Feedback_Categories.
  4. In the Entry Text, enter the first category name. E.g. Marketing.
  5. In the Entry Value field, enter a value for the category name. E.g. MAR, or 1.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Repeat Steps 2-6 to add additional categories to the list.

Why do I get this error:

Error: MNO Online Feedback is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Cast from string "Site Comments" to type 'Integer' is not valid. ---> System.InvalidCastException: Cast from string "Site Comments" to type 'Integer' is not valid. ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.DoubleType.Parse(String Value, NumberFormatInfo NumberFormat) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.IntegerType.FromString(String Value) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.IntegerType.FromString(String Value) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.IntegerType.FromObject(Object Value) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Feedback.Feedback.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Make sure your categories for Feedback module have integer values, not strings

The help says you can add "VAL" or "1" for Value field. However, it's not correctly implemented in Feedback module - it only takes integers.

Also, don't waste too much time on this - it gets ommitted in the email message anyway. Haha...

I gave in the end and did it with XMOD which works a heck of a lot better (which also had the added advantage of an email custom form to my requirements). Disadvantage is it's slower but it's a fair price to pay until I apply my ASP.NET skills into making my own modules (just haven't had the time to research into this yet).

Cheers!
