Sebastian,
1. I suppose it's call on existing installation. It's a fersh installation which has only portal 0. I want to keep the default portal 0 for testing (not for a production website) and create on portal 2 or portal 3 this importing.

p.s. I use DNN 4.9 for a few years, so i make a step forward with DNN6 now. That's why i'm describing this situation :)

Dimitar,
thanks for the details. Please be aware that portal templates may be used only in same DNN version as created.
In order to create a template from an existing website, go to Websites in Host menu select your existing site details and execute "create template". Template will be created inside /portals/_default folder. if you want to use the template on a different DNN installation, you need to copy all template files and make sure, all modules, skins and containers being included in the template exist on the target installation. Now go to Host > Websites in target DNN installation, select "create new website" and select the template you created before. After the new site has been created it should look like the original one.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

In earlier versions of DNN 6, go to Host > Portals.
