My problem is that I don't want the Login and Register to show up on my site, then use a separate Login page for my editors, but I need a way for users to log out.

If I remove the Login and User skin objects, they are totally gone.

I thought that this text was controlled through the skin.xml file, but when I delete it from the Login/User <text> attribute, it does nothing. Where is the Register/Log In text located?

Thank you!

  • to remove register for logged out users, set registration mode to "private in portal settings
  • to remove login, use the language editor and clear the login text

Note: XML file only defines attributes, to remove a skin object, remove its token from the html or the reference in the ascx file
