Hi, we are having a bit of trouble with our 05.02.03 installation and would really appreciate any help that can be offered. We have group membership set up to mirror our AD group membership by setting up identical groups in AD and DNN, and authenticating with the AD auth module. This has worked great up until about a year ago, at which point, maybe once every 1-2 months, a few users would be removed from a few groups for brief periods of time. As far as I can tell, it is only a small subset of users and groups, though it's not always the same users (but always the same groups). The groups are set to Universal in AD. There are no log messages associated with these group removal events other than a normal logon, no mention of groups whatsoever. Other AD-synced groups function fine during these periods. Even when we manually add the users back in to the appropriate groups, they are removed after a few clicks, again with only a logon message in the logs.

If anyone could provide some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I can provide some more information. Thanks,
               -Julius

What version of the provider are you using? This has come up before but, from what I remember, it was difficult to find out what was the cause.

Wow - thanks so much for the quick reply, it's not often I am able to get support from a module creator like yourself. This issue does seem very difficult to troubleshoot. We're running version 5.0.2 of the provider, is there another version we should be upgrading to that will work with our server version?

That's the latest version that was available for the DotNetNuke version you're running. With the 05.00.03 release there were some changes made to the role synchronization that may fix the issue you're seeing but it requires a minimum version of DNN 5.4.4. The latest version of the provider requires DNN 6.

Gotcha, I'll look into upgrading. Again, thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
