Umm, ok? Now what!

So, my site was all fine - has been up and running for some months.. and I get a call saying its down..

One moment working - next moment... gone. No way to login, no way to see whats wrong..

Any hints anyone?

it appears your site is back up, but in future if it occurs the wiki http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/loc/allpages/Cat/debugging.aspx has lots of useful advice (in general when the sites down check the database EventLog table to see the last event) - it's also a good idea to recyle the app pool in case there is nothing wrong with the site but perhaps another site sharing the application pool has corrupted it.
