Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade to DNN 6.2.1. I followed the instructions but it seems to have failed. I am getting the following error message:

An unhandled error has occurred.

I have searched on a resolution but non of the fixes shown has worked for me.

I have tried removing lines from the version table in the database and changing permissions on the install files and re-uploading but that doesn't seem to work. When I try to rerun the install page I just get a blank screen.

Can anyone help? My website is here:

http://www.fourcore.org/

Thanks,

-s

Here's an update...

I went back to my backup and tired the upgrade again. I got an error here:

00:00:29.156 -   Installing Package File Telerik_06.02.01_Install:  Error!

Everything else was fine.

When I try to access the site I get this error:

An unhandled error has occurred.

Any ideas?

typically this indicates the during upgrade when the telerik package attempts to update web.config for the new version number it was unable to do so i.e. either web.config was set to read only or else the website user did not have the correct permissions (perhaps read/write and not modify permissions), so i would check those things before trying an upgrade.

Thanks for the reply. My Hosting company suggested I set the trust level to Full in the web.config file. Will that work or is that something different?

i dont believe trust level has anything to do with it -and that it is a file permission or file readonly problem
