Hi,

I'm new to DNN, been working with websites since the 90's. I have a DNN 6 site.

I have a PDF file that is several MB in size. I need to email it to several thousand subscribers - not SPAM.

My preference is toe email them and include a URL in the email. Reader would click on the email which links to a DNN page. Page executes so that Google Analytics are recorded, then page instantly (or as close to that as possible) redirects to the PDF file which in turn opens in the reader's browser.

Obviously I can email the URL of the PDF but then I wouldn't know how many people clicked on it, hence the desire of the intermediate landing page.

So what are the possible methods of achieving this in DNN?

Thanks.

Hi there,

I would just create a DNN page and add a little javascript to it to redirect to the pdf.

Something like:

<script language=”javascript” type=”text/javascript”>
window.location.href=”path_to_my.pdf";
</script>
