Stefan thanks for the info, as this was driving me round the bend. However I have now got a new problem with this. My offline site is working 100% with the hidden text being returned perfectly in the search results. However my hosted site is not performing as well.

When I search the results ignore the hidden text and return the first line of text in the HTML module. Has anyone got any ideas why? Do I need to clear some sort of cache somewhere??

If you would like to see what I am talking about please go to www.loreofmythos2.com and in the search box at the top search for human   The results it should return is:

Human Lore - Relevance: 1019
A look in to the Lore of the Humans and read about the indomitable spirit of the Krytan people in the face of rampaging centaurs, looting bandits, and political intrigue ....

However what you will get is:

Human Lore - Relevance: 1019
The humans of Tyria are an embattled race. Over the past three hundred years, they have lost much o...

Please help.

Why not just do:
Hidden Text
<d i v style="display:none;">Hidden Text</d i v>

The hiding of the text is working, however the search is not picking up my text. Even if I do not hide the text the search on the site still ignores my text

This may be well out of date. My experience of the DNN search says it is pretty poor.

I think the overall sound of what you are doing suggests to me that the HTML module might not be the best approach. ISTM that you want somthing where you have an article and a separate summary. ATM you are combining both pieces of content.

You may be better off with a more formal article publishing system either somthing commercial, or you might try Chris Hammond's Simple Article system - free with source code. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/B...

Thanks Richard for the info. I wil have a read of the article from Chris Hammond. As the site I run is a non profit site I need to get things done as cheap as possible. The only other option I was looking at was purchasing XMod Pro and writing my own search for the site ( but this would be expensive )

I must admit I was surprised how poor the DNN search is, considering how far DNN has come and how much it has evolved.
