If you want to take this one step further, add Effective Date and Expiration Date date/time fields.

Then, for your records, enter valid effective and expiration dates and times.

Then for your filter, enter:
[Effective Date_udt_Ticks] <= [Ticks:Now] AND [Expiration Date_udt_Ticks] >= [Ticks:Now]

This will only display those records which fall within your effect/expiration dates.  Good for when you want things to appear and disappear automatically without user interaction.

We use an example of this as a front page banner to display information such-as "You have until Wednesday at 4pm to register." and put it's expiration date as wednesday at 4:00pm.  Come wednesday at 4pm, it's automatically not visible on the banner.  Works quite well.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for the tip. I don't need an expiration date/time for this application, but it is nice to know how to do it. I'll give a try just the same.  Now I understand how to use the [Ticks:Now] token. I really wasn't clear on that at all.

Thanks I appreciate it.

Rich
