Odd thing..isn't always...

I have several sites (portals under one DNN instance)  that are using DDRMenuNavigationProvider.

They have been in play for several years..no issues.

Recently all DDR menus (drop-down actions) stopped working while in public view (View Page > All Users).

Menus function normally while logged in as admin.

Sub-menus are rendering in html (page source) but it seems javascript is not firing..again only in public view mode does it fail.

Permissions gone awry??

I have restarted application, restarted IIS, restarted MSSQL.

Have looked at DNN event log .. nothing I think applicable

I have other portals using the DNNMenuNavigationProvider which are functioning fine.

The DDRMenuNavigationProvider is of issue..any insight in this regard??

Barry

 same problem!

html is ok, and js files are downloaded, but js code is not fired and submenus not expanded.

This only when I browse as anonymous, if I browse as admin or other user that has only read permission, all works well.

Here's a possible fix to try - particularly since you indicated that this started to be a problem only recently . . .

Under Host-->Host Settings, Advanced Settings, jQuery Settings: if "Use Hosted jQuery Version?" is checked, uncheck it and update settings.

If that doesn't solve the issue . . .

What DNN version is installed and did you recently upgrade from an earlier version? What version of DDR Menu is installed?

Does the problem persist for anonymous users if you switch a test page to use the DNN provided Dark Knight skin?

  1. Using local copy of jquery didn't solve. However I'm using the version "https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js" from CDN, not the last one 1.8.0 because 1.8.0 broken all admin features. So CDN and local copies are same.
  2. a test page using Dark Knigh works well
  3. I'm using dnn 6.2.2 and DD 2.0.2

thanks
