That's the link you should be getting using the core search. That table that you're looking for is grmRepositoryObjects. The itemID is the value after grm2id/ so if you know which tab each item is on you could back your own links by checking the table and seeing what itemID the Repository objects had.

Hiya Mike,

Thx for the suggestion about using the dashboard but I already am !! I use the dashboard to create Categories to the documents and this is one of the reasons wht I wish to use the Repository so Much..

My main criteria is to make the site work like it did with sharepoint. The dashboard has solved the categories issue but I still have a problem with Hyperlinks....I am able to create hyperlinks using the Search results but If I open a word document from the repository and then click on a Hyper link ( Got From the search result ) The browser opens at the logging screen for my DNN rather than opening the document page...Like DNN has spit me out ..

I think this is due to the fact that opening the document doesn't open it within a web Browser but rather that winword opens the document on the desktop.

Any other ideas ?I'm sooo Close

Ray..

The only way you're going to be able to have the link in the Word document open the file in Word is to put the exact path to the file (http://localhost/Portals/0/Repository/filename.doc where filename has the generated GUID as part of the name). However if the linked file is ever edited and reuploaded the GUID for the file changes which means you'd have to edit any file that links to it and then any file that links to those files and so on. Having it redirect to DNN is the best workaround. Why it's going to your login screen though is a mystery to me.
