Thanks for your response.
I have succesfully installed on the local machine, but when the site comes up all the images are coming up as "X" and upon looking up their properties they are referring to
http://localhost/dotnetnuke_community/Portals/0/Logo.png

Upon looking back in the source code version which i am trying to debug i have noticed portals folder has 1 folder _default and no folder exists with name "0".

Just wondering if any of oyu have any suggestions.

I am also consistently getting the jquery error:

Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'jQuery' is undefined

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

In the dev tool bar in ie here is the snapshot which indicates a lot of 304 codes which means the data is not sent to the client per my understanding, If anything rings a bell please let me know:

If you have launched DNN install in the normal way, then the portal created during install should have created Portal/0/ folders.

Can you check the files on the server and confirm Portals now contains both _default and /0 ?

The 304 errors are associated with a cache failure and point to an error in configuration of the permissions for either the ApplicationPool user or the anonymous internet user. Those identities will depend on what OS/IIS version you are running.

They contain only default folder and no other folders.

I am using Windows 7, VS 2010 and Asp.Net 4 for app pool.

I have given Everyone the permission to the website folder since this is a dev machine.

Please let me know if you have any additional suggestions,
