it is impossible to delete an image on 6.2.2.

i uploaded an image. deleted it. dnn said the image was deleted. file manager showed that the image was deleted. i then uploaded a revised image with image manager in the html editor. guess what? the old image appeared. i went to file manager to delete, upload the new image. file manager showed the new image....then i went back to html editor's image manager to insert new  image. well $%## me running. the old image reappeared.

why is deleting an image so difficult??? why can't i reuse an image name???? windows 3.1 had more grace than this.

Tony,

Is this just a local cache error?

If not, perhaps try renaming the old image and upload the new. Once you have confirmed it is working delete the renamed image.

It sounds to me that the files don't get physically deleted and an automatic sync performed upon adding other files re-adds it to the DNN files list. please make sure the ASP.Net account being used has full access to all files inside your DNN installation folder.
