Is there a way to upgrade from 5.0 RC to 5.0 Stable without uninstalling and re-installing the module?

I would prefer not to have to re-enter all the blog entries I have so far and lose the comments that were added to those entries.

This site (dotnetnuke.com) was running the RC at one point and the final release too, so technically speaking it is possible. However, how successful it will work out for you depends on a couple of things. If you are using dbo. as your database owner it would be possible but if you are not using dbo. or you do have an object qualifier set then I know it won't be possible (these, along with upgrade issues from 4.x blog versions were the primary focus between RC and final).

My advice (if you are using dbo. and don't have an objectQualifier set) are to upgrade a test environment and see if the module still works. If there are problems, it would be a stored procedure that could be dropped and re-added if need be (using the Install.05.00.00.SqlDataProvider as the source for the one to add, happens to contain the drop statements too).
