Hi,

There is no portal option in host menu of newly created dnn web site.

I am using dnn 6.2 and visual studio 2010 .

Deepak,

What specifically are you expecting to find? The website IS the portal.

after logged in as a super user,

on left hand side there is host menu option. On clicking that option there is list of multiple options but in my case the list is not containing the portal option (i want to create portals either parent or child).

I had seen videos, in that videos there is option for creating portals in host menu.

I want to know why it is happening with my project, should i have to add some templates or something else.

or Is there is any other way to create portals.

If you are looking for Host > Portals, this has been renamed Host > Site Management.
