Hi,

I am trying to run a Windows Exe from my Dot Net Nuke Module using the following command

 System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("Notepad.exe")

The code takes a long time to execute and nothing happens.

How do i achieve the same ??

Thanks in Advance

I don't think it will be able to open the Server's notepad or even if it does, it will be do so in the background.

I want to open the exe that is located on the Client Machine...

You can't. Think about what a hacker could do if they were able to do this.

There may be other means like an active x control or maybe via java but I'm not familiar with them enough to say for sure.

the only option to access local system would be Active-X - but therefore it requires a certificate and is blocked in most cases. Java is limited to the sandbox as well as Javascript and Silverlight web applications.
