I'm new to DNN and this question might be better asked elsewhere. I so I apologize.

Scenario:  Developing a site for a non profit group that has sub groups across different cities.  Is it possible to do the following with DNN

  • Have one site, but when people register have a drop down for which city they are in
  • Each city has an admin that can see only his cities members and authorize and assign roles etc
  • Do i need a portal for each city?
  • Have pages that are shared across all cities and some pages that are specific to a given city ( I can possibly do this with roles....is there another way?)
  • When you view the calendar module for example it must only show events for your city ( filtered )

Let me know if this is possible or am I totally out of scope for DNN?

Thanks

it should be possible to implement your requirements in a single web site, but you might need custom/customized modules for the content.
