Hello everyone, I am using DNN 05.06.01 on website at my company.  I am not able to update the DNN version of this website at this time because of custom code not related to my current problem.  The problem I am having is with folder redirects not working.  I have folder like "www.example.com/test"  and in it I have a web.config that points requests of the folder to another page.  The problem is that when I try and using "www.example.com/test" I get a 404 not found error.  However, we found that "www.example.com/test/index.html" or and fake file name like "www.example.com/test/a.ccc" will cause the web.config to be read and the redirect to occur.  I have been looking around trying to find something that could be causing this issue, but I can't.  Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

 Thanks!

UPDATE:

When I try to navigate to the "www.example.com/test"  I get a DotNetNuke error that states

Domain Name www.example.com/test Does Not Exist In The Database

It shouldn't be in the database anyways because its just a folder with a web.config that just does a redirect.

Please, any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

I wish I could use Virtual Folders, but there are far too many of these redirect folders set up.  I am just providing support for a legacy website.  Further information:  When I use Ifinity's URL rewriter.  The problem seems solved; however, I run into problems where some sites have "-" (hyphens) added to their URL's after they are clicked and logins no longer work.  Anyone else have some suggestions?

if using UrlMaster, you may specify rewrite options in its Host or admin configuration module.
