Hi all,

We can't access our DNN portal after server changed.

So far, we have been unsuccessful in moving our DNN 4.9.0 base to our new IIS server.

We keep receiving an "Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS)" on chrome or 503 error on IE.

Everything is properly started in IIS application pool and we have no event in windows applications log.

Old server configuration: Windows 2003 32bits, IIS 6, SQL 2008

New server configuration: Windows 2008R2 64 bits, IIS 7.5, SQL 2012

We exported / imported the SQL original database to the new server.

We created the proper portal alias calling url.

We copied the same binaries.

We changed the SQL server site in the web config.

Other non DNN sites are running fine on this server.

Any help or tips would be appreciated.

please make sure your IIS web site uses an application pool for ASP.Net 3.5 (displays as 2.0) - ASP.Net 4.0 is not supported by DNN 4

Leopold,

Thanks for your answer.

IIS displays that the application is started in 2.0.

And we checked the registry, .NET framework 3.5 SP1 is installed.

I am just lost...

please make sure, the portal alias (database table portalalias) meets the domain name you are using. Which changed did you make?
