vScroll  Modified By Larry Brown on 9/21/2012 4:18:01 PM

I am trying to figure out how to modify a few elements of the vScroll transformation that I am using with an Announcements module, but am having no luck.

1. How to remove the module title from appearing at the beginning (in front of the announcement title) - I have set the module title to be blank but it still displays.

2. How to change the time format to EDT

3. How to show all of the announcement description and not just a partial.

I am using the 04.02.02 install - any help would be greatky appreciated. THANKS!

1. it depends, whether the title is part of the content - in this case you'll need to edit the feed generation in announcements module
2. there is no easy option in RSS for date formatting according to current UI culture, however there are samples on the web how to format a date using XSL
3. same answer as 1.
If you are not going to modify announcements module yourself, I would consider using a different module for this purpose, e.g. NewsArticle from www.ventrian.com

After modifying several elements of the XSL, the results are displaying as I'd like them too....however, I cannot figure out how to make the link within the XSL ({link}) to link to the actual URL that is relevant to the specific announcement. For instance, the links of a feed's title/description simply link back to the syndicated Announcements module, but I'd like the link to actually go to the 'read more' URL of the specific announcement which is defined in that module instance, not the entire module itself.

What I am trying to accomplish is to have scrolling announcements (as one could configure in earlier versions of the Announcements module) but currently the only scrolling capabilitiies in DNN 6+ is from the News Feeds RSS module, so I've syndicated an Announcements module in hopes of replicating that scrolling feature through an RSS feed.
