Is there still no way to upgrade to 5.0 and have the categories assigned automatically to the existing blog entires?

Surely this is a problem for all users that have a large number of entires in their system, it would take me forever to edit 1100 blog entries and assign categories again.

Is there possibly a SQL script that we can run on the DB to link the categories to the blog entries?
