Hi,

does anybody know a way to add (reference mode) a module to multiple selected pages in one go, perhaps by using SQL? 6.1 and above. Or at least to descendants?

Thanks

Franco

if you are using DNN Core Language Specific Pages, I suggest having a look at http://dnncltools.codeplex.com/

Hi Sebastian,
I am not (yet) using that module. As far as I understand, it helps managing modules and also copying them from one language to another, but can it copy a module to a selection of pages in a mono-language environment to save the manual effort of doing it manually?
I'd like to ask before I install it and try it, if possible.

I know one can set a module to all pages and then selectively delete it from unwanted places, but in my case the module goes on a limited and still significant number of pages.

oops, I misunderstood you need. I am not aware of a module allowing to add a module to a number of other pages in one step, sorry.

Hi Franco,
I too am looking for a way to add (Reference Mode) to a module on multiple selected pages. Or at least to descendants...

And if possible by using SQL. 6.1+ and above.

Have you or anyone found a solution yet?

My situation is I have a module applied to multiple pages but i would prefer it be multiple pages in REFERENCE MODE where if I make a change to the "REFERENCED" module, the others will reflect the change.

Interestingly, if you make a "COPY" of a page, you have a "Reference" option, however if you're just adding a module to multiple pages, it appears you have "NO" reference option in DNN 6.X

Any recommendations or if I'm missing a work-a-round would be welcome on how to make existing pages "REFERENCE" a module from an existing source page.

Right now you have to go to each page the Module is on to make a change after you Apply to ALL pages... which is not very efficient.

Looking forward for an answer.
