Hi,

I couldnt find a HTML Module forum so posting here. Apologies if im in the wrong spot.

We use a 3rd Party form to post info into our CRM system. Part of this non dnn solution is to get the html code for the form.

Ive added a html module, tried pasting the code both as html & also as raw.

The form displays perfectly, validations work (ie invalid email address) however when i click on submit, the form just goes back to a blank form & does not pass the contents to our CRM. It is also supposed to go to a confirmation page on our website.

Ive copied the html code in Visual Studio Web Developer & viewed in browser & everything works fine.

Any ideas where i might be going wrong?

Thanks in advance

As we didn't know the code you are posting it is not possible to try reprocedure your issue.  By default the HTML module have a code validation.  It could be that the code included any code that is restricted to post, to prevent infections that can be post.

Also it could be a restriction by the Editor you are using.

If the HTML markup that you are pasting into the HTML module includes its own < form > tag you will not be able to get this approach to work as a .aspx web page such as used by the DNN framework cannot have more than one or nested < form > tags. Your alternatives would be to create the form as a physical html or aspx page and link to it in an IFrame module (download at http://dnniframe.codeplex.com) or better yet recreate your form as a custom DotNetNuke module.

If the above does not apply to your markup the issue may be that the HTML module is for security purposes stripping out certain HTML markup and in particular embedded Javascript code. Take a look at the rendered page's source view or uses Firebug or IE Developer Tools, etc. to view what is or is not getting rendered to the page.
