I am in the progress of migrating a portal from one DNN instance to another so as to isolate it independently on it's own domain/dnn instance (separate database).

I have created/exported a portal template..all good there.

I created a new instance of DNN (new install) keeping the versions the same (DNN 5.1.1)

During install I selected the portal template I created from the other instance and all seemed good .. it seems like all the content ported over nicely albeit within the default skins ..

This didn't concern me for I am thinking I will configure skins typically..however, here is where I am encountering a major problem ..There is no login form visible when I click login OR even if I enter 'login.aspx' in the address ..

The login page does indeed load and display albeit WITHOUT any user name and password field..

Both host and admin accounts created..

A real show stopper..sigh

Anyone have any experience in this regard??

Barry

It is possible that there is a missing module, etc or page setup.

Try going to www.yourdomain.com/default.aspx?ctl=l... and see if the form comes up.

if it does, go to the site settings and change the "Login Page" setting.
