David,

In your styles there should be a style that is causing this. Most likely it's style with something like " .hov " or  " :hover " pseudo-class specified. The style will have a "font-weight:bold;" property associated to it. This causes the text to be bolded when the user hovers over the text. See if you can search your .CSS file for the hover or for bold and you'll probably track it down.

Hi Clint.
I finally got it. I changed the .rootmenuitembreadcrumb TD font-weight attribute to normal. Apparently this is what DNN uses for the selected item object. I think the moused over item is the MainMenu_MenuItemSel object.
